Find information on a biblical passage
The daily routine in ministry often does not leave much time for thorough exegetical, systematic and homiletic work. SESB can help you with various research and study tools:
Under Tools/Bible Study you can find the Passage Guide, which opens with a click in a new window. Enter your Bible passage in the field on the window toolbar, and start the search. The program now compiles all information of the text editions in your SESB regarding the passage: exegetical and textual critical commentaries, parallel passages, an overview of important words (in English or Greek) and sentence diagrams. Via mouse click you now can easily access and look at these pieces of information.
If you would like to have a look at parallel Bible passages, presenting the same story, you can use the Parallel Passages and Harmonies report. In order to find for instance all relevant OT-passages on the Passover select “Synopsis of the Old Testament” under Source in the report window, and click on “The Passover”.
